Well as most of you know I spent most of January painting my growing Araby themed army. Its not quite done yet but the bulk of the army is painted. So I have some photos of the stuff thats done here for you to enjoy. I am very pleased with it so far. Encouraged by positive comments from DogCon I will be adding more to this army very soon. With no tournament deadlines approaching I will be more frequent with photos. Enjoy!
Hey guys, welll with the ‘real world’ playing a major part it has been a while since my last update. But hopefully it is worth the wait!!
I have a bumper update for you including my Lead Belchers and the start of my 2 Rhinox!
Gaming with them starts tomorrow! ENJOY!!
Hey hey, A big update this time with the completion of my bulls, assembled all 4 Iron guts and a heap more progress on my gnoblar units.
G’day party peeps, here is another short update to my Ogres. Attending a onedayer with the rest of the Podhammer crew and coming 2nd to Dave on a countback left me only a little time for modelling. Since the last update………
This is the list we talked about on episode 26. I already have some thoughts on what I change but I would love to get some imput from others.
Hey guys,
since the last update my weekends have been spent wargaming and well, MORE wargaming, with a podcast in between
. Focusing on getting my Chaos Dwarfs up and running for the ANUWTF tourney in Canberra and smashing Dave and Jeff in the lead up to the special edition podcast last weekend, there really isn’t much to update you on for the Ogres……….
After seeing Matt’s awesome progress with his army, I thought it was time to put up a few more pics of my growing Araby(empire) army.
The first image is of 4 more crossbowmen. Since the first test model I have streamlined some of the colour combinations. For example the yellow belts on the original models were done by laying down a layer of Tempest Ochre followed by a chestnut ink, I then reapplied Tempest Ochre followed by Iyanden Darksun. While I will continue this system for heroes and other important models. For the rank and file I have cut out the second layer of Tempest Ochre. This saves valuable time with no real disadvantage in the appearance of the model. I also changed the skin tone to be more middle eastern in appearance. By using Calthan Brown as a basecoat for the skin followed by highlights of Tallarn Flesh I am very happy with the result.
Hey guys, well it has been a wait between updates but truth is I haven’t had much time to do anything, with the exception of this past weekend. While trying to figure how this army is progressing aesthetically, I have decided to take Mr. Shrek’s advice, ‘LAYERS’!!
Welcome to Update 3 for my Bi-weekly Podhammer Ogre Army Diary. Here you will find a few pics of models, conversion ideas and model inspiration that I intend to implement within my ogres. All those ogre lovers out there will realise that there are a couple of units missing (maneaters, yettees, giant etc), for atm I am focusing on those models that I will definately be fielding. I hope you enjoy them!!
