These days there are many wargaming podcasts out there, and I don’t promote all of them. However it is my pleasure to give a shoutout to a fellow novacastrian (a person from newcastle) Nathan Russel and his brand new general gaming podcast HERE BE GAMERS
The show is 5 episodes old so he is still finding his feet, but quickly gaining confidence. The show covers many aspect of nerd gaming, from wargames to RPGs.

The people cried out in anguish when they learned of his departure. The abscence of his words left the masses distressed and disorientated. Hours turned into days, days turned into weeks and the silence became louder than the roar of the mightiest dragon.
Brave heroes stepped into fill the breach, the Warpuppy and his band took up the challenge to fill the insatiable need of the Podhammer nation.
He continued to remain silent, straining against the lure of microphone, his desire to return to his domain became stronger and stronger…..

I am sad to to say that due to some unforseen and sudden events in my real life, Podhammer is on indefinate hiatus.
I would like to graciously thank the many people who have enjoyed and supported the show over the past year and a half. The show has been a source of great enjoyment for me and the others involved. I walk away proud of my acheivements and the knowledge that I was one of the trailblazers in Wargaming podcasts.
One the best things that this podcast has done has brought more people to the game aswell as tournaments. In Australia in particular we have seen increase in tournament attendance increase dramatically over the last 2 years. Many factors have contributed to this however I would like to think what we have done has been a major factor.
I would especially like to thank my guests, advertisers and Inner Circle members. Without your support the show would not exist.
The website and existing episodes and files will continue to be available as normal and this will not change.
I hope the things going on in my life can be resolved quickly and the show can continue however I would be being overly optimistic to expect this to happen quickly. So please be patient and once again thanks very much

Happy new year
Many of you are probably wondering where the Thunderdome video is. The answer? its not ready yet for two reasons.
The first is that real life work is really busy at this time of year. The christmas rush takes alot of my energy. I have been working long days lately and what little time left is spent with my family and other real life things.
The other reason, Podhammer takes alot of my time and energy I spend alot of time working on the show, website, forums etc. I have burned out a little and I really need to take a break. Its like painting an army if you force yourself you end up not enjoying it, and then it never gets done.
Podhammer is a passion of mine but it is a hobby and sometimes we all need to break from our hobbies so that we enjoy them more.
So don’t panic! Podhammer is not going anywhere, I am not throwing it away. I just need a break for a little while and I will return refreshed and ready to do the show in early january. Thunderdome will be released just not straight away.
I apologise for the inconveniance and would like to wish everyone out there that has supported the show over the year a safe and merry Xmas and a fantastic 2009
