Great show, the new music makes the show feel more slick.
Just a quick comment about pure BoC, i run a pure slannesh magic heavy army and magic item wise there is bugger all (ive got about 5 powerstones and 2 dispel scrolls)
However, the BoC army list great, its got one of the best selections of core units in the game
-Beast herd (great screen and character bunkers, cheap but 4 wide sucks)
-Bestigors (marked khorne they are wicked, slannesh can make a good ITP character bunker) Combo them with the Staff of Dargoth and they are wicked.
-Warhounds, awesome awesome awesome, a multi purpose screen, redirector, flank charger, charging warmachines and march blocking.
-And chariots, 85pts (now markable) ld 7 rerollable, pair them up and they lay down the pain. Awesome awesome core unit.
Other units of note:
-Minotuars, for 138pts u get 3 with GW, 12 str6 attacks + 3d6 for pursue rolls.
-Centigors, around 100pts for 5, S/T 4/4, move through woods, 2-3 attacks each, spears, tough, u name it these guys can do. Great support unit.
-Dragon Ogres, str7 beastie goodness, expensive but hit like a planet.
-Spawn (marked slannesh) 75pts for a ton of 3d6 unbreakable t5 tarpit!
BoC are still a strong army, they are tough to play (as Jeff knows) but they can be very rewarding.
Dont dismiss BoC because we cant take mortals anymore.
Sorry its so long o_O
Rob
I just wanted to add two, in my oppinion very good, alternative miniature producing companies to your list:
The first is the Spanish company “Gamezone Miniatures” (I did not find an English website but here is a sample picture: http://www.fantasyladen.de/elfelf.jpg)
They produce incredible detailed miniatures and I believe that they are designed to be used as GW alternatives.
The second one is “Andrea Miniatures”:

They only have very view miniatures in an apropriat(I am sure I misspelled that one) sice but those would be great heros.
Wow, Dave really is sixty! lol
Even if you are sixty your a big reason why Podhammer is so awesome! Keep up the good work guys.
For me, Dave Palmer is the best co-host hands down. Not that the others are bad, just that he is that good.
Big fan of the new intro, reminds of the first 2 episodes.
Congratulations to Dave’s #2 showing. Sorry about the collar bone. Hopefully you got a few good meds out of the deal.
Episode 18: Dave couldn’t take a point from a kid with only 1000 points.
Episode 20: 2nd place in the tourney and top-ranked in the club.
Good job Swearin’ Dave!!!
Another great episode and ye I cant echo the comments enough, Dave “Ye, I mean look” Palmer is ace.
D
First off congrats Dave on you 2nd placing.
Second love the new Intro/ Outro
Thanks for the links to the Non GW sites I’ve been looking to make my army a little more personalized.
Ps. Jeff are you or any of the Pod-ettes making your way to GenCon OZ in Brisbane this year? I know it’s a bit hard since a couple of you have young ones, but I think it’s going to be huge.
@Munji
No we are not actually. For a couple of reasons.
1. I am getting married on 29th of june and I will actually be away on my honeymoon. (I am dangerously close to Brissy but I dont think Mrs Carroll will be very keen)
2. The Warhammer fantasy is a third rate GW GT that will get about 5 people attending because the weekend before is a massive warhammer tournament in melbourne which every warhammer player not going to my wedding is going to.
Cant believe you think BoC are not interesting anymore. So we lose magic item access to HoC, the only items we ever needed were AoDamnation and The Power/Spell Familiars. Furies too as a unit i guess, but apart from the BoC are a great army within themselves, one of the best unit variety of any army. And they have a new book on the way soon, so any problems should be fixed. Lets just hope they dont get rid of too much of the current army.
I wanted to add in response to the voicemail fom the guy who was tired of Lizardmen and wanted variety… Orc and Goblins is possibly the most varied list out there. Tons of core choices, wide array of Special choices. and 4 rare choices where most armies have 2.
That is a pretty good reason for not making it to GenCon. As I am a volunteer there, (Not wanting to sound like a fan boy) I will do my best to spread the word for Podhammer.net.
Yeah I know volunteering at a gaming convention take three steps down the ladder.
Great! I am getting some stickers and cards made up I’ll send you some to give out to people if you like
Yeah that would be great.
Hi all.
I thought that you may all enjoy looking at this German store called Battlefield Berlin.
They have an amazing collection of miniatures for sale from about 20 different producers and all are referenced by name on the website.
I hope you enjoy it!

Did you see in white dwarf the warriors of chaos army list? Great show, dave is the best co host but I still think you need one more to spice things up. You remind me of kip in nova 1069 (brisbane radio show, meshel ash and kip with lutsy).
Thanks for another great episode, although I am not a fan of the new intro. The previous one with the classical music was much more inspiring.
All IMHO and YMMV, of course.
Have a good day, and keep up the good work!
