Just wanted to say that the Episode of “Drunken Aussies talking Warhammer” was one of the funniest shows I’ve heard in a while. The show is awesome guys, great job. I’m sitting here at work and it’s the first time where listening to the Podcast made me stop work for a minute because I was laughing so hard.

I’m so jealous that the Australian players have all these awesome tournaments to go to. As far as I can make out, the only tournies worth going to in the UK are run by GW, and it’s impossible to get tickets.
Great show. I still would love to hear a dwarf show, especially why the dwarfs are not that great to play against in the torneys. I am uper jealous as well.
My new mantra has become:
If everyone played Warhammer, there would be no need for heaven for we would already be there.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing when there was talk that not being able to use your hand weapon and shield bonus to the flanks and rear was unrealistic. With shields being in the left hands of warriors during battle being charged in the right or rear would throw a shield wall completely off. I agree with the defense of the rule where it is a great reward for a player who has outmaneuvered his opponent. The show is good. Keeps me sane while I’m painting for hours on end.

while I like most of the new models I have to agree with Dave? that some are not as good. Skull pass sprung to mind immediately. The old plastic night gobbos are way better.

About models:
-skull pass is a starter set with simple models (lots and lots of said models) they arnt going to be A grade.
-some old models have a charm to them (i play BoC so accept the bias) the minos with GW and the bray shamans are awesome models =P
On a side note i won one of the limited ed rule books, and its very very nice, i wouldnt buy one tho lol.

Another great podcast, I have to say I agree with Mr Miscast on the case about the shield bonus on the flank but have to disagree about an attack in the rear. One that I disagree with even more is losing your shield bonus from arrow fire. If I saw a volley of arrows coming my way the first thing I would do would be lift my shield up. Just look at the movie 300, could you honestly say when all those arrows come flying at you, that raising your shield never crosses your mind.
You do get your shield bonus from missle fire
I have only been playing for a short while and I don’t have the full rule book, I only have the small one from Battle for skull pass. and on page 56 under fighting with hand weapon and shield, it states this bonus only applies in close combat, not against wounds suffered from shooting, magic, or other means. Please let me know if I have miss read this as I don’t want to jip myself on anymore armour save roll.
Munji: You gain the +1 save for the sheild against shooting but not the HW/S bonus, as i believe it is also to compensate that you can parry an attack with your HW and not just the shield.
