It has come to my attention we made a small mistake in the Ogre Kingdoms episode. So we don’t give people the wrong Idea I thought I would clear it up.
When Matt and I discussed ‘big names’ we mentiond that a Tyrant with Mawseeker (+1 toughness and stupidity) would not suffer from stupidity if he joined a unit of Immune to Psychology Maneaters.
This is incorrect as in 7th ed. Immune to Psychology specifically refers to ‘fear’, ‘terror’ and panic. Therefore the Tyrant would still have to take stupidity tests.
It is very important to me that we provide accurate and well thought out opinions. However Warhammer is a big game and there is alot to remember. Due to the unscripted nature of the shows things like this do come up and if we do make any mistakes in the future I will correct them as I have done here.
Thanks for listening
Jeff

you also mentioned that a slavegiant is exactly the same as a normal giant but without being stubborn. One of the important weaknessess of a slavegiant is that his attacks against ogre-sized creatures and above is no where near as good because it relies on a toughness test rather than an initiative test which is what the normal giant has. Most big things have low iniative but high toughness so this is an important difference. Really enjoyed the podcast this week. One of the best episodes although I disagreed with a lot of what you said about ogres!
For example, I think maneaters are far too overpriced bearing in mind they are so easy to kill with ranged attacks, and i almost never take them! No where near the best unit in the army in my opinion…ironguts every time!
Still it was a great episode, keep up the good work Jeff.
I agree about the maneaters being alot of points, which is the main reasoin behind me running tougher units giant and rhinox) in their place for an upcoming tourney. Tho it always comes down to wether you have the resources to take them out or you don’t (like anything) They just fullfill a roll in the ogre army that no other unit can.
Thanks for the heads up with the giant. never rolled that one up!
Cheers,
Matty
